If you are interested in adopting a dog or puppy from 2nd Chance Animal Rescue of Fayette County, we ask that you fill out a Dog Adoption Application (application is a pdf file so you must have Adobe Reader installed to view and print) and submit it to our organization. If there is a particular dog or puppy you would like to adopt, please put the dog's name on the application. If we do not currently have a dog that meets your needs, please feel free to submit an application so that we can process your forms in advance. Then, if that perfect dog shows up we will be ready to proceed with the adoption quickly, and it will free up one of our wonderful Foster Homes for another dog that needs our assistance.

What does the Adoption Donation price include?

You will receive a dog that is current on his/her shots, has been spay or neutered, microchipped, heartworm clear, and wears a new collar and lead.

You may notice that, for many dogs, the adoption donation fee we ask is less than it actually costs us to prepare a Rescue dog for its new home.  In order to place as many needy puppies and dogs into forever homes, we subsidize their costs through our Fund Raising efforts.   The average total value of an adoption doesn't include other operating costs like travel to and from the vet, crates, food, bowls, shampoo, stationary / postage, other miscellaneous costs and, most importantly, all of our volunteers' time that they dedicate to rescuing and caring for these wonderful animals.
