The volunteers of 2nd Chance can hardly catch their breathe, so many animals in dire needs of our help. If only we had more foster homes and volunteers. Our trips to animal control are heart wrenching to say the least , you walk through and try to figure out how many you can save and which ones do you take home with you...

It is so terribly sad, they all look at you with these eyes that seem to say, please, me, please take me. I live with these visions everyday. 5-6 million of these unwanted animals are killed each year, I use the term KILLED because you can candy coat it and say humanely put down but all in all when the day is done they are killed. SPAY and NEUTER is the only way that is going to change this.
